Day 1

Hey guys,

We made it safely to Israel. Our flight was long and we are exhausted. It was an 11 hour flight from Philly to Tel Aviv, and an exciting one I might add. Shortly after take off the Jewish men on the plane had to pray, but they couldn’t find a place. They finally made it work in the small nook at the front of our section of the plane. It was rather odd, because we had never seen anything like it. They prayed a couple of times throughout the flight. Later, while most of us were dead asleep, someone started calling out for help, because a girl that was with us passed out in the isle. She’s okay, but it was pretty scary in the moment.

We made it to Tel Aviv and quickly met with our tour guide and went through customs. It wasn’t very scary and we all made it through fine. Our bus drove us to the hotel we are staying at now. We are currently in a pretty large town called Netanya, which is on the coast of the Mediterranean sea. After we settled into the hotel we had dinner and walked down to the beach. It was an incredible feeling to be walking on the shoreline of such a famous body of water. The temperature was a little chilly, but we got used to it soon and had a great evening.

Now we’re in the hotel relaxing, because we are EXHAUSTED! We have so much to do and see, but not enough time to rest! It doesn’t matter though, because this is the trip of a lifetime!

Also Israel is overran with cats. Meow.

“Timing Is Everything”

“Timing Is Everything”

When the stars line up
And you catch a break
People think you’re lucky
But you know its grace

It can happen so fast
Or a little bit late
Timing is everything

You know I’ve had close calls
When it could’ve been me
I was young when I learned just how fragile life can be
I lost friends of mine
I guess it wasn’t my time
Timing is everything

And I could’ve been the child that God took home,
And I would’ve been one more unfinished song
And when it seems a rhyme is hard to find
That’s when one comes along
Just in time

I remember that day
When our eyes first met
You ran into the building to get out of the rain
Cause you were soaking wet
And as I held the door
You wanted to know my name
Timing is everything

And I could’ve been another minute late
And you’d never would’ve crossed my path that day
And when it seems true love is hard to find
That’s when love comes along
Just in time

You can call it fate
Or destiny
Sometimes it really seems like its a mystery

Cause you can be hurt by love
Or healed by the same
Timing is everything

It can happen so fast
Or a little too late
Timing is everything

I just need this week to hurry up…

Spring break is so close I can taste it, and the weather outside has been giving us hints of what to expect, all week. I’m going to Houston, Texas for spring break to spend some time with my family and earn a little money to live on here in Nashville. I’m excited, because I’ll probably get to go to a few concerts and eat some delicious Mexican food. I’m most excited, because I’ll get to see my parents and just not really worry about school too much. The weather in Houston is going to be incredible. It’s always a comfortable cool in the morning and warm in throughout the day. We always go to the Galleria and shop, which is fun, but lately that kind of stuff hasn’t been as appealing to me. Mainly I’m looking forward to going to Pappasitto’s Mexican Cantina, my favorite restaurant, and the best Mexican food ever! I also am excited because Saturday I am judging one of the Tennessee Destination Imagination Contests! These kids work so hard at what they do, and I am so proud to get to help them with their challenges! I am judging the theatrical challenge, (I wanted to judge the Improv challenge, but it just didn’t work out). So spring break has a lot in store for me…I just have to survive one more week of school until then!
